A master craftsperson carves the design out of a solid piece of teak wood.
After the block is completed, a print artisan mixes natural dyes, dips each block into it, and presses it down onto the fabric yardages.
Designs that contain multiple colors or overlapping patterns require the use of different blocks. This art of creating patterns on fabric requires an incredibly steady hand and a precise, repetitive movement to execute a master-level block print.
Our collection of block print is made entirely by hand, including the printing, cutting and sewing of each individual product at our facility in Jaipur and Delhi.
